Learning Resources

Virtual learning (March 2020)

As educators, students and parents navigate a new world of virtual learning, Draw the Lines has tailored our program so that high school and college students can use it from home, either in virtual classes or a self-guided setting.  You can learn about elections, the census, redistricting and digital mapping.

This hour-long virtual class gives students a grasp of election redistricting and sets them up to draw their own map.

The Draw the Lines activity packet is segmented into different lessons you can find below. It is also available here as a PDF.  You can also do your own exploration of the site's resources, particularly the Gerrymandering 101 and Participate pages.

We will continue to let you know about updates and opportunities in our teacher newsletter. You can subscribe here.

For high school educators, Draw the Lines offers free Act 48 certified credit through our hour-long training sessions. Click here for session dates and to register, for free.
