Bob Trumpbour of Duncansville

Bob Trumpbour is Professor of Communications at Penn State Altoona.

I research the intersection of media, sport, and society with a particular focus on the history of constructing large-scale sports venues. 

The push to build stadiums and ballparks in major urban centers has often included voter input, making research of political processes an important dimension of my scholarship.

It’s my interest in studying the many factors that determine voter outcomes that leads me to support Draw the Lines.  

Redrawing districts in ways that might skew election results should concern every citizen.  I believe citizens should be able to hold political leaders accountable for creating election processes and procedures that are fair, reasonable, and equitable.

The Draw the Lines project is a key way to educate citizens to develop a range of ideas to achieve such goals.
