In 2018, the Committee of Seventy launched Draw the Lines PA, a statewide civic education initiative for Pennsylvanians to draw their own election maps. We aimed to bring unprecedented transparency and citizen engagement to the once-arcane and hugely important process of redistricting. 12,000 people and 1,500 maps later, we succeeded beyond our wildest dreams.
